Common Questions

CENTRAL ASIA
EUROPE FAQ.

What is the Trans-Caspian Middle Corridor?

The Middle Corridor is a multimodal trade route connecting China and Central Asia to Europe via Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey — bypassing Russia. It has become the primary alternative since 2022 due to sanctions affecting the Northern Corridor through Russia.

Why route via Turkey instead of direct?

Turkey is the natural bottleneck of the Middle Corridor — every cargo crossing the Caspian and Caucasus reaches Europe through Turkish ports or land borders. We operate a hub in Turkey with consolidation, customs and onward EU forwarding capabilities.

How long does freight from Kazakhstan to Germany take?

Rail freight from Almaty or Astana to Germany via Middle Corridor takes 14–22 days depending on Caspian ferry availability and customs at border crossings. Road freight takes 12–18 days. Sea-based multimodal is slower but cheaper.

Do you handle CIS customs and documentation?

Yes. We work with licensed customs brokers in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan to handle export documentation (CMR, T1, TIR carnets), and coordinate transit through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. Sanctions-compliance screening included on every shipment.

Can you ship from Uzbekistan to UK or Spain?

Yes. Once cargo reaches our Turkey hub, we forward to any European destination — UK, Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Poland and beyond. We use established sea, road and air partners for final EU leg.

What cargo types do you handle?

Cotton and textiles (Uzbekistan), metals and minerals (Kazakhstan), oil & gas equipment, project cargo, machinery, food products and general consumer goods. Reefer, hazardous and oversized cargo handled on request.
