WHAT COOKIES ARE

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit it. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences — such as language, font size, login or, in our case, your cookie consent — so you don't have to re-enter them every time you come back.

We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session storage, which work like cookies but are stored directly in your browser. In this policy, the word "cookies" covers all of these technologies.

This policy explains which cookies we use on canxansa.com, why we use them, how long they last, and how you can change or withdraw your consent at any time. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

02

CATEGORIES WE USE

We classify cookies into two simple categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the website to work properly. They remember your cookie choice and keep basic site features functional. These are stored without consent because the site cannot reasonably operate without them.
  • Analytics — help us understand how visitors interact with the site (which pages are viewed, traffic sources, country-level location) so we can improve content and performance. These are only set after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social-media trackers, fingerprinting, or any third-party tracker other than Google Analytics 4.
03

COOKIES ON THIS SITE

The following cookies and storage entries may be set when you use canxansa.com:

Strictly necessary

Analytics — set only after consent

IP addresses processed through Google Analytics are anonymised. We retain analytics data at event level for 14 months; older data is automatically deleted by Google.

04

CONSENT & LEGAL BASIS

Our cookie practices follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), and the Estonian Electronic Communications Act.

  • Strictly necessary cookies are stored on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and the exemption in Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. No consent is required for these.
  • Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by clicking "Accept" in the cookie banner. Until you do so, our site uses Google Consent Mode v2 with all analytics, advertising and personalisation signals set to denied.

We record the date, time, and content of your consent so we can demonstrate compliance if requested by a supervisory authority.

05

MANAGING YOUR CONSENT

You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time, without affecting any processing carried out before the withdrawal:

  • Click Cookie settings here or in the footer of any page to re-open the consent banner.
  • Choose Accept to enable analytics cookies, or Decline to keep them off.
  • To fully reset your choice, clear the canxansa_consent entry from your browser's local storage; the banner will appear again on your next visit.

When you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent to Google. You can continue to use every feature of the site normally.

06

BROWSER-LEVEL CONTROLS

Most modern browsers allow you to inspect, block or delete cookies through their settings. The relevant pages are:

  • Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
  • Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Apple Safari — Preferences → Privacy.
  • Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

You can also install a browser-level Do Not Track setting or an extension such as Google Analytics Opt-out. Blocking all cookies may, however, prevent parts of this or other websites from working as expected.

07

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The only third-party service that may set cookies through this website is Google Analytics 4, operated by Google LLC. Google acts as our data processor under written terms.

Transfers of analytics data to the United States are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can review Google's own documentation here:

Other providers we use — Formspree for quote and signal-form submissions, Google Fonts for typography and GitHub Pages for hosting — do not set marketing or analytics cookies on this site.

08

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this cookie policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new tool, change a provider, or refine how we use existing cookies. The "Effective" date at the top of this page shows the latest version.

If a change materially affects how we use cookies (for example, the introduction of a new category requiring consent), we will re-display the consent banner so you can review your choice.
